Clean sweep

Tight Development

I am purging every token, wiping the slate clean to execute the work at hand. It often makes my head feel cluttered, but in truth, there is no need for it to be. If I simply stopped multitasking and focused, I wouldn't be in this state; I am essentially choosing to remain in a muddled state and acting the fool. Regardless, the results are progressing well. I am slicing through the monolith of our codebase like cutting a cake, carving out modules one by one. The key is to slice cleanly and ensure each piece is refined. Our company’s main product, Parallax, originally housed features like iris, soulmate, and playground. Now, I’ve nearly completed the process of spinning these off into independent services with their own dedicated apps. My initial plan was to consolidate everything into a single app, but I’ve concluded that’s not a viable model—especially since soulmate needs to emerge as a distinct product, separate from the nature of Parallax.

Since iris is centered on automation, its interface focuses exclusively on automation-related code, keeping chat off the main screen. Therefore, Parallax AI—our most fundamental app—serves as the central hub for general chat, storage, and everything else. The same applies to the mobile apps. playground is a free AI psychological test service created by users; soulmate is an AI character chat service; and iris is the core revenue model of Parallax, requiring the most precise management. Managing the previously fragmented codebase into a monorepo while satisfying requirements took more time than expected. Beyond that, the cycle of creating design mockups for each product and validating them is an incredibly busy process. If I keep up this rapid pace through this week, I expect to finish all deployment preparations, register every app on the respective markets, and wrap up the prep work for video production.

However, I didn't arrive at this mindset from the start. Today, I was trying to implement X (Twitter) automation via a workflow, only to realize that entering headers in the HTTP request node wasn't possible. While fixing that, I realized that shifting to a monorepo would provide a significant edge in system stability. It was something that had to be done eventually, even if it took time. While the SDK and API didn't need changes, the client-side products required a complete overhaul—it was a massive undertaking.

House Management

I ordered a bulk load of groceries the other day for the first time in a while. With the fridge finally full, it’s making a noisy racket while running. It’s stressful, but not easy to fix. I suspect it’s a leveling issue, but since the contents fluctuate, the tilt needs constant adjustment. Perhaps I’m lucky—I tore up a thick chicken box and used it to shim the height, and the problem vanished instantly. Of course, this might not be a permanent fix; it could start humming loudly again in 30 minutes.

During the day, I cleaned the floors and wiped away the dust. My cactus is tiny, but it’s been growing healthily for months now. That felt good. The fridge is stocked with precious food that will sustain me for a few weeks, and I must manage it well. I can’t spend money recklessly like I used to; I have to cut costs everywhere. When cravings for late-night snacks hit, zero-calorie drinks have been quite effective. They’ve been a huge help in erasing "false hunger"—not that I’m truly starved, but it helps. Naturally, it’s not ideal for gut health, but it’s been quite effective for weight loss.

Health

I’ve been climbing the stairs for several weeks now, and I feel like I’ve lost some weight and have more stamina than before. I’ve been working out consistently, too. While I haven't lost a massive amount of weight, the curvature of my belly is visibly changing. It’s incredibly difficult for someone who sits and works all day to maintain a healthy body. In fact, even though I have the lowest body weight among all my peers, the problem is that when I do gain weight, it all goes to my stomach. Regardless, I want to solve that, but my days are too hectic to dedicate time to complete physical mastery. "Congested" is a more accurate description. My head is constantly flooded with tasks, so it’s fair to say my days just vanish in a blink. Fortunately, when the weather is nice, I go for walks, and these days are better for it than ever. It’s a bit of a pity to enjoy this beautiful season alone, but I don't care; it's the path I’ve chosen. I must pay this price until I succeed.

Videos

It’s been over a month since I started consistently uploading short-form content. I’m posting on Shorts, Reels, and TikTok, getting a feel for the rhythm. It’s really just a repetition of what I’ve been doing: reflecting on events and sharing what I’ve learned from experience. I used to keep the comment sections open, but I no longer see the point in communicating there. Most people aren’t necessarily looking to provoke me, but you see all sorts: people who comment without even watching the video, people spouting meaningless drivel, trolls, and those who jeer. Since I’ve been focusing so heavily on business—and even considered stopping the videos altogether to pour my energy into the work—I just shut down all the comments. It turned out to be the better decision.

As far as I’m concerned, communication isn't necessary. Comment sections are merely summaries for those with short attention spans. Modern people look at news headlines and head straight to the comments. I don’t want my videos consumed that way, and I don’t consider those people subscribers who watch my content properly. True subscribers will watch regardless of the comments, and if someone doesn't need it, they lack the eyes to see anyway, so they aren't my target audience to begin with.
